I’ve delivered 100s of events throughout my career. One thing they all had in common was using a spreadsheet to organise them. Whether you’re wrangling deadlines for projects or trying to hit development milestones, try adding a timeline in Google Sheets for a better view of things. Here’s how:
Make sure your sheet has columns for start and end dates
Go to Insert > Timeline
Choose the options that work for you. Personally, I:
Choose to group the cards by responsible team
Choose the card colour to match the responsible team
That’s it! Timelines in Google Sheets are similar to Gantt charts (and in my opinion nicer to look at).
