Hey! Quick favour before we get into it - I’d love to learn more about you to make sure this newsletter is super relevant every week. Please could you spare 30 seconds to complete this quick survey? Thanks for your help!
We’re all guilty of going back and forth on email to try and find a time to meet with a coworker or client. It’s annoying for both parties. To keep things focused, create an Appointment Schedule in Google Calendar to show a list of available slots and simply send them the link.
How to create an Appointment Schedule
Click and drag on calendar to select a period of time you want to be bookable (don’t worry about other meetings - they’ll automatically be blocked out)
Choose appointment schedule on the pop up
Give the schedule a title
Click ‘Setup the schedule’
Choose your appointment options:
Appointment duration
Add time slots (and easily copy availability across days)
Choose the scheduling window (how soon and how far away can someone book you)
Allow for buffer time between appointments
Set a maximum number of appointments
Add a co-host (perfect if you’re working as an assistant and need to add your boss)
Click ‘Next’
Add appointment details:
Decide on location
Add a description
Customise the booking form (this is a great way to add some questions if you’re using this as part of a sales process)
Add reminders so people don’t forget to turn up!
Click ‘Save’
Click ‘Open booking page’ to see the preview
Share the link the next time you need to schedule time with someone
More ideas for using Appointment Schedules
If you’re on the business version of Google Workspace, you can connect Appointment Schedules to Stripe to collect payment. Perfect for coaches or consultants.
Create multiple appointment schedules for different use cases to protect your time. For example, have one setup for 15 minute intro calls that allows 4 per day, and another for follow up calls that are 60 minutes with a maximum of 2 per day.
