Workspace Studio will automate your work
This game changing new app just dropped in secret
There’s a slight delay this week because I realised that Workspace Studio (formerly Workspace Flows during testing) was available on my account, and I just knew I had to share it with you!
You may have heard people talk about ‘agentic AI.’ Studio is exactly that for Google Workspace.
It’s a new app from Google that allows you to automate workflows across Workspace (and beyond). It has Gemini built-in which really takes things up a notch.
Creating an agent
Go to Workspace Studio and choose a template or type what you need in the box at the top
Edit the steps as required

Example use cases
Here are some quick ideas for different roles:
Salespeople could automate some research about new leads as they arrive into a Form
Small retail businesses could have customer queries automatically drafted and/or sent based on information in a document or on their website
Anyone could have their emails auto-labelled based on the contents (for example, I manually label everything either ‘to do,’ ‘to read,’ or ‘waiting’)
Project managers could have tasks automatically created in Google Tasks for actions in relevant emails
Journalists could get a daily email of the latest news from a particular location
There’s genuinely so much potential, and I’ve no doubt Studio’s capabilities will expand over time.
One limitation I spotted (that I hope they’ll update) is that you can only preset a time for calendar events to be created. I’d love to have Gemini read an email, understand someone’s availability and then schedule that time if I’m free.
